It’s a great time of year to try something new, the weather is (supposed to be) warmer and the days are longer. There’s an energy which can be captured to our advantage and trying something new makes us feel more positive too!
Here’s a few tips as to new things you could try:
- Walking in Nature
Put on your trainers and get out there! It’s proven that walking improves our well-being. Just being out and about, walking on the beach, in the coutryside or locally where you live helps us to breath in the fresh air and get our bodies moving!
2. Acts of Kindness
Did you know that doing something nice for others is massively beneficial to our feel-good-hormones! The gesture of giving and making someone happy improves our well-being and gives us a sense of satisfaction.
3. Treat Yourself
We’ve all enjoyed a bit of retail therapy haven’t we? But it doesn’t have to be anything extravagant or expensive, just a simple card or gift to ourselves is a lovely thing to do. It reminds us to look after ourselves and treating ourselves regularly, is a worth while thing to do!
Whatever floats your boat, it’s important to take the time to enjoy ourselves doing what we enjoy. I am an avid crafter and I love to crochet and sew. Sometimes it can feel hard to find the time for our hobbies but in actual fact, by making time, it helps us to feel relaxed and in turn, makes us more productive when we do the other stuff that we have to do! So it’s win-win!
Relaxation is well known for improving our well-being but we often only fully relax when we’re away on our hols don’t we. But it’s important to relax in our day to day lives too. We know that our phones need charging regularly, plugging it in every day to maintain optimum performance. And we’re just the same! We need to recharge to begin again to continue with what we need to do. So let’s drop the guilt and take time out to recharge and rewind.
I hope you’ve found some of my tips useful, keep in touch and let me know what works for you.
To help you on your way, I’m offering individual Relaxation Sessions for just £45.00 for an hour during June for you to join me at Burrough Court. Starting with a cup of tea, an informal chat and a guided meditation session to help you rewind and recharge.
